Simple product that actually solves an annoying problem. Fish smell used to stay on my hands for hours after cooking. Now I just rub this under running water and the smell is mostly gone. Very convenient for everyday cooking.

Honestly, one of those small kitchen products you don’t think you need until you use it. Works well for garlic, onion and fish smells. No mess, no refills and very easy to clean. Would definitely keep one near the sink.

Was not sure if a stainless steel bar would really do anything, but decided to try it. It does help with strong food smells. Especially useful after cutting onions and garlic. Takes a few uses to get into the habit, but I use it almost every time now.

How does it work?
No soap. No chemicals. Just stainless steel and water.
When you cut onions, garlic, handle marination, or have just finished your delicious meal, certain sulfur compounds stick to your fingers. These are especially difficult to remove, even with soap. Traditional soaps, remove grit and use a fragrance to mask the smell. This odour remover bar provides a solution without chemical fragrances.
When you rub your hands with the stainless steel bar under running water, the sulfur compounds bind to the chromium oxide layer found on the surface of the steel. This surface action removes the compounds from your hands, and you're left with clean and odourless hands!
What odours does it remove?
Garlic, onion, fish, prawn, marination, etc. Anything that has a typical stubborn, lingering sulfur odour.
If my spoon can do the same, why should I use this bar?
Any stainless steel object - your sink, spoon, bottle, etc can technically be used for odour removal.
However, there's a few really important caveats:
1. Repeated use tends to wear out the chromium oxide layer, inviting rust and reducing effectiveness of the steel. Our FitStory Odour Remover is designed to be used repeatedly, for years. And if you do find it wearing off, just replace it, instead of replacing your entire sink.
2. Ergonomics matter. A spoon or a fork aren't exactly suited for rubbing your hands with. Our Odour Remover is perfect sized for every hand. It's small, comfortable, reaches tough places, gets the job done, and doesn't embarrass you in front of your friends ;)
3. This odour remover has a high grade 18/8 stainless steel build, which means that it has a higher percentage of chromium in it. Chromium oxide layer is what makes the odour molecules vanish from your hands. Other stainless steel utensils just aren't designed for this particular use case.
How do I use the bar?
Simple - just rub the bar under running water on your hands, as you would with any other soap.
We recommend using regular handwash/soap first to remove grit, and then following up with the Odour Remover to remove odours.
Pro Tip: If you're hands are relatively clean of grit and solids, and you just want a quick wash, use a handwash + the Odour Remover together!
Is it safe on the skin?
Yes. The Odour Remover is made of 18/8 grade stainless steel, the same used in surgical medical equipments, and is completely safe for the skin.
How do I care for it and maintain it?
We're glad you cared to ask!
Here's some good news: this product requires minimal maintenance and care. After every use, just clean and dry the bar. That's it!
The Odour Remover is built to last for years, not just weeks. If you find a drop in its effectiveness after prolonged use, consider replacing the bar.
